Well, first of all, thank you for even taking the time to come to this page. Ammonite Accounts is brand new, so I'm grateful for any and all visitors. I really am here for YOU, Ammonite Accounts is about making life easier in so many ways. From providing cutting-edge Cloud technology that enables you to invoice customers and enter expenses on your phone and immediately update your accounts, to providing a comprehensive set of year-end reports and taking care of all of your day-to-day accounting needs, to freeing up time for the more important things in your life.
Ammonite's immediate local service area is Orpington, Bromley and all surrounding areas (Petts Wood, West Wickham, Beckenham, Chelsfield, Hayes, etc). However, I am pioneering Cloud bookkeeping - so I'm really available to anyone with a computer and internet connection!
My business is about making your business better
I'll probably ask two initial questions when we meet for an initial consultation: "can you tell me about your business?", and "what can I do with your financial information to make your life easier?". I'm not going to bombard you with MY business plan, EVERYTHING that I do, and why I do it. That's just going to be a waste of your time, you don't need to know any of that.
What you want to know is how I can meet your needs. Its not very helpful to start banging on about being able to complete VAT returns and how much that service costs, if your business is not VAT registered. What you will want from me depends entirely on your business, and what you want to achieve. Do you have a lot of transactions to track? Are manual invoices taking up too much of your time? Are you finding it hard to keep track of money that people owe you, or purchases that you need to pay for? Do you simply just want to know what your overall profit is? The options are almost endless. And no requirement is too trivial. It might turn out you're actually more than capable, if you have the time, of keeping track of everything yourself, you just need me to help you set up and run some accounting software. I find, however, that want most people want it more TIME for them. Be that time with family and friends, time for hobbies, time to sit and read books, or even just time to do nothing for once! I can definitely help with that.

p.s. Why 'ammonite'?
Well, I (Claire, the owner, Hi!), was having a bit of trouble coming up with a name that felt 'right'. I'd tried the well-trodden routes of just my initials and surname, my street, my maiden name. I'd looked hopelessly around me to find some sort of relevant inspiration. But nothing clicked. Then one day I was organising bits around the house, and got to my fossil collection - and there they were, my ammonites. I've had an ammonite obsession since a trip to a fossil shop in the Tunbridge Pantiles with my Dad as a small girl. They've been a constant part of my life and even influenced some of what I studied at college and university. But more than that - they are beautiful. Not just in a "oh look, thats very pretty" way - but they are mathematically stunning. Ammonites are an enduring example of the Fibonacci sequence in nature (haven't heard of Fibonacci?), with their spirals always falling within Fibonacci squares. And that mathematical perfection has endured in their fossilised shells for HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of years. I really couldn't find a more perfect way to project mathematical perfection, endurance, and my own personal history in my business name.
